We are delighted to announce that our Senior Consultant Rowdy Bristol will be our Optiro man on the ground in the USA as from September this year.
For those of you who have not yet had the pleasure of meeting Rowdy, here is a short introduction:
Rowdy Bristol BSc (Construction Engineering), AAS (Land Surveying), MSc (Geological Engineering/Geostatistics), Post Grad Dip Computing
Rowdy is a geologist, engineer, and surveyor with postgraduate qualifications in geostatistics and computing. Rowdy has more than 21 years’ worldwide experience in the mining industry, plus 4 years’ experience working for a mining consultancy in the United States.
Rowdy has worked as a mine geologist, engineer, and surveyor and has trained geologists, engineers and surveyors in the use of Surpac Software at underground and open pit mines covering all major commodities.
Apart from guru-level expertise in Surpac, Rowdy’s skills are in resource evaluation, geostatistics, training, mine geology, engineering and surveying.
During his time at our head-office in Perth, Rowdy has worked on resource estimation, training and mining projects covering a wide range of commodities.
Rowdy will be based in Oregon, which will have him in the ideal position to offer Optiro’s consulting and training services within the Americas.
And for those of us who have worked with Rowdy and appreciated his experience, skills and knowledge – I’m pleased to let you know that he will frequently be returning to Australia to continue with his Oceania based consulting and training services.
Rowdy’s travel schedule over the next few months will make him available for site visits in South Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland. Here are his dates and location:
- 1 June – Port Augusta – SA
- 10 June – Alice Springs NT
- 17 June – Darwin NT
- 1 July – Mt Isa – QLD
- 7 July – Townsville QLD
