Flying with multiple planes in tight-formation, their wings only a metre apart… requires discipline, skill, focus and a steady hand. So it will not surprise you to hear that at weekends Paul Blackney, Principal Geology Consultant, can be found flying in formation for fun and relaxation!
It took Paul more than 2000 hours to build his Van’s RV-6 kit aircraft, but his time and meticulous attention to detail was well rewarded when he won Best Metal Aircraft at the Sport Aircraft Association National fly-in in 2009. Even now, 7 years after the award, I’m sure you’ll agree that his aircraft still looks as good as the day he first rolled it out of the hangar.
Paul’s discipline, skills, focus and attention to detail are carried over into his work – which is why he is so highly respected in the mining industry for his expertise in resource evaluation, geostatistics, technical auditing, geometallurgical analysis and technical training.
So whether you are looking for an expert in resources or an adrenaline rush in the air.… Paul is your man!
