Optiro’s summary of the RSC Resource Reporting Intelligence for 24-30 April 2017.

During the week of the 24-30 April 2017, 95 new technical reports were published – this was up by 33 from last week:

  • 1 was a report clarification and 2 were amendments
  • 19 Mineral Resources – up by 8 from last week
  • 1 Maiden Resource
  • 66 Exploration / drilling – up by 27 which was back up to the highest point in 2016
  • 1 Environmental report
  • 4 previously announced NI43-101 technical reports were filed with SEDAR. 1 was a resource estimation, 1 was a PFS and 2 were feasibility studies
  • 50% of reports used the JORC Code
  • 47% used NI43-101

Project locations:

  • 42 projects in North America – up by 21 from last week
  • 27 in Oceania – up by 1
  • 12 in Africa – up by 1
  • 9 in Europe – up by 5
  • 1 in Asia – down by 2
  • 11 in South America – up by 7

This week’s project commodities were:

  • 71 Gold – up by 35
  • 26 Silver – up by 11
  • 25 Copper – up by 9
  • 17 Zinc – up by 6
  • 12 Lead – up by 3
  • 10 Lithium – up by 4
  • 4 each for Graphite (up by1), Uranium (down by 3) and Coal (up by 2)
  • 3 each for Iron (up by 1) and Cobalt (up by 1)
  • 2 each for Bismuth (up by 1), Arsenic (up by 1) and Molybdenum
  • 1 Nickel

Global number of Resource Estimations by Report Author since October 2014:

  • Optiro ranks 5th out of the 24 global consultancy groups, having authored 31 Resource Estimation reports since October 2014.

  • Optiro ranks 14th out of the 24 global consultancy group, having authored 6 Reserve Estimation reports since October 2014.
