Getting The Most Out Of QAQC 2012
- 28th - 29th March 2012
- 25th - 26th July 2012
- 21st - 22nd November 2012
Unlike the status quo ten to fifteen years ago, most exploration and mining projects nowadays are fortunate to have more or less a full set of QAQC data collected. However, it is also a fact that often much of this data is collected and not processed, or processed and not actioned, or under-processed, or processed too late to make a difference to the project (thus rendering it useless). This course covers the QAQC life cycle, from planning the types and frequencies of QAQC data to be collected, through the mechanics of collecting, transporting and submitting the samples, through to analysing to reveal systematic and trending errors, deciding what is and what isn’t a failure, to making the changes in the resource database. We take a holistic view of QAQC and emphasise the importance of having a rigorous and comprehensive system.
