One of the greatest staff retention initiatives is the opportunity to grow professionally through training and being mentored – in many cases, this is more meaningful to the staff member than the traditional financial incentives. At Optiro, we believe in delivering training and mentoring outcomes which are immediately useful. Our training is focussed on providing the tools and the understanding of how to carry out the key tasks in resource evaluation, mine planning, optimisation and project management. We do not accept the provision of black box solutions and ensure that there are no practical or theoretical stones left unturned.
Our years of experience have taught us that the best way to present information, tools and concepts is to ensure that you learn and understand by doing. This philosophy is carried over into our mentoring activities, where we will spend one-on-one time with your staff at your operation or at our offices, and move steadily towards the technical and learning objectives to ensure you are armed with both the knowledge and the tools to do the work unaided.
Our training courses and mentoring sessions cover the mining evaluation cycle, from sampling and QAQC, through resource evaluation and grade control, to production and reconciliation, classification, risk analysis and simulation, review and audit and project management.
