SolarisCare Red Sky Ride 2011

A group of 21 cyclists recently tested their physical and mental endurance over 1000 kilometres in seven days in The Red Sky Ride to raise funds for the SolarisCare Foundation Cancer Support Centre. The Red Sky Ride is about ordinary people raising funds and awareness for Solaris Care Cancer Support Centres, which provide cancer patients with free complementary therapies that are integrated with mainstream treatment, as well as carers' support services.
Red Sky Ride raised over $320,000 this year and the funds raised will enable us to continue to provide those faced with cancer much neeeded support through the listening ears and gentle touch of the volunteers.
Optiro would like to congratulate Mark Drabble, a Principal Geologist at Optiro, was one of 21 riders who took part in this fantastic even for the third year in a row.
Optiro is proud to provide our continuing suppor for the ride and are very proud of Mark and the team who have now raised over $1,000,000 total in four years.
