GOLDEN WEST RESOURCES LIMITED - WILUNA WEST HEMATITE PROJECT - IRON RESOURCE UPDATE - OPTIRO PROVIDES DECLARATION AND STATEMENT OF CONSENT.
Golden West Resources (“GWR”) have recently completed a resource upgrade for the Wiluna West Hematite Project, on the Bowerbird Central, Bowerbird South, C3 and C4 deposits (Tables 1 & 2). A Declaration and Statement of Consent from our resource consultants Optiro is attached in the Press Release.
The key outcomes from the upgrade are:
- A 50% increase in the Measured and Indicated categories to 75.1Mt
- An increase in the overall quality of the deposit with the Measured and Indicated Resource grade now being 60.2% Fe
- A high quality resource as measured by a low level of contaminants with the combined key contaminants SiO2 and Al2O3 now 9.5% and 0.06% P
The results of the resource upgrade are a testament to the high quality of the Wiluna West Hematite Project. The global Resource is now estimated at 127.2Mt @ 60.2% Fe. Approximately 60% of the global Resource is now in the Measured and Indicated categories.
The update has been achieved from an extensive infill drilling program undertaken over the last 12 months. Mr David Sanders, GWR’s Chairman commented: ‘GWR is delighted with the upgrade of our flagship Hematite Project, the high conversion rate from Inferred to Indicated and the improvement in the overall quality of our resource. Our Project is an outstanding valuable asset and with various initiatives we are undertaking we look forward to moving towards production’.
GWR now intends to complete an inaugural Reserve Statement.
